I haven't done a DIY in what feels like forever, but lately I felt inspired to create something. So I did.
I came up with the idea of this chevron necklace after being inspired by many pins on my Pinterest, and its surprisingly simple to do. I wanted a rustic feel to my necklace, but you can use any jewellery supplies you like.
What you need is -
Beads of your choice, ( I chose some tribal beads and some with different colours and shapes to give the necklace a bit of contrast)
Jewellery pliers with a round nose
To start, remove a jump ring from your chain and attach two of your eye pins to the bottom of your chain.
Thread on any beads you like, leaving a about a centimetre at the end to create a loop.
using your pliers, create a small loop at the end of the eye pin and close the loops together to make sure they won't open and fall apart.
repeat this step as many times as you like until you get you are happy with how it looks. Make sure you leave about 4-5 jump ring spaces in-between each eye pin to prevent your beads over lapping each other.
To spice things up a bit, I decided to keep my tribal beads horizontal to add extra dimension to my necklace.
